A keeper of lost lore and a priest to forgotten gods, Magebane invokes unholy rituals to drain the energy of his enemies and turn it back against them. In less desperate times, heretics such as Magebane would have been burned at the stake, but this is not the first unexpected clemency brought about by the war against the Hellbourne.
Magebane is a vanguard/frontliner for his team against Magic Damage. He burns enemy mana and damages them if they cast spells while Master of the Mantra is active. Enemies with a large max mana pool and low current mana can easily be killed with Magebane's Mana Rift.

Mana Combustion

Passive
On each attack, Magebane burns some of the target's Mana. The burnt Mana combusts, dealing additional damage to the target.
Burns 15/20/25/30 + 3/4/5/6% of the target's Max Mana and deals Physical Damage equal to 60% of the Mana burnt.
Illusions only apply 33% of the mana burn. Attacking Magic-Immune enemies will also apply 33% of the mana burn.

Notes
The damage from Mana Combustion is not added to attack damage, so it does not stack with Lifesteal and Critical Strike.
Illusions will deal 1/9 the mana burn to magic immune enemies.
Flash of Anti-Magic

In a flash of light, Magebane is able to teleport a short distance to a target location and buffs his allies resistance to magic in the process.

Target a location to teleport there, applying a 15/20/25/30% Movement Speed Slow for 2.5 seconds to enemy units within radius.
If an enemy hero is within radius upon teleporting, the cooldown of this ability is reduced by 4 seconds, and you gain a30/55/80/105 post-damage-mitigation shield that absorbs 50% of incoming Magic Damage for 7 seconds, and Master of the Mantra's Attack Speed and ally Magic Damage Reduction effects are also triggered.
The shield deals 30/55/80/105 Magic Damage to nearby enemies if it breaks from taking Magic Damage.

Magebane proves he is the master of the flow of Magic around him.
Passively grants you 10/15/20/25% Magic Damage reduction. Attacking an enemy hero grants 16/24/32/40 Attack Speed to Magebane, and grants 6/9/12/15% Magic Damage reduction to other ally player-controlled units within 1200 radius.
Activate to apply Mantra of Anti-Magic on Magebane for 10 seconds. While active, fires a Mana Flare at an enemy hero if they use an ability within 1200 radius of Magebane, dealing Magic Damage equal to 30/50/70/90% of an ability's Mana Cost to them.
Non-magic zone.

The magic damage reduction is applied after Magic Armor.
Mantra of Anti-Magic only activates on ability cast. It does not deal damage if mana was spent via mana upkeep and it does not target mana spent when using items.

Magebane tears a rift in a target unit's mind, stunning it briefly. He then detonates the rift, dealing damage to the target based on how much Mana the target has missing. The more Mana the target is missing, the higher the damage dealt.

Stuns for 0.1/0.2/0.3 second, silences and slows movement by 90% for 1 second to the target and deals 90/120/150% of target's missing Mana in Magic Damage to the target and enemy unit in 225 radius to target. Additionally propagates the 60% of damage dealt to 1 enemy hero outside 225 radius but still within 600 radius to target.

Note that the Magic Damage reduction from this ability stacks multiplicatively with other sources of Magic Damage mitigation, like Magic Armor.

This effect now has appropriate visual effects to indicate that a player took damage from this ability. In the past, this ability had no visual feedback, which resulted in nobody noticing how effective this effect was or when you actually took damage from this effect.
Enemy units within 600 radius of the target location have Mana Feedback applied on them for 6 seconds, dealing 110% of affected unit's Mana Cost as Magic Damage.
